Hi, Kara!
I just got an email from All Seasons Property management, thought of you, looked for you again, and wow, found this blog and your website. Hope you are well, kiddos and husband, too. We’re going to Colorado for Spring Break this year, but I’ll never forgot how much fun you and your shop are from our visit last year. I’ve kept on knitting WAY too much - but I love it and the friends I’ve made since taking it up again. Are you on Ravelry? My username there is k——-y. Take care - Terri from Missouri
Terri,
So good to hear from you…. hope you and your boyz are doing well. Things are always crazy around here, I’m just trying to figure out this whole blog thing! Because of your post, I’ve added my name to the list to get on “Ravelry.” I don’t yet understand the hype behind this one…. I guess I’ll figure it out! It’s awesome that you’re back into the knitting game….so many cool people seem to come out of the woodwork when you pick up a couple of sticks and some string. I think of you often, and really appreciate your inspiring nature. Things are coming together, albeit slowly, but feeling good. So glad you saw the site! Keep in touch,
Kara
Hello from the East Coast! It’s been way too long (almost a year?) since my last knitting project (socks! for my daughter) and it feels so good to be “near” it here on your site! Loved all the scarves - what fabulous colors! Out here we call it “variegated” yarn, but colorway sounds so lovely (variegated sounds like an odd walk!)
I’m rambling…what I had on my mind when I started to write is the sweet cup and saucer at the top of your page. I drank my first tea (loose, black) in just that sort of cup at my Grandma’s house 50+ years ago! Sure brings back that warm cozy feeling and memories of hand knit mittens drying on the warming oven doors of the wood stove after hours of play in the snow.
Found your blog by way of Wagooh by way of the Oven Claw! Best wishes to all for a wonderful holiday season!
Ruth
Ruth,
I’m so glad you found the blog page to be warm and cozy. Definately attributes I equate with knitting. I have to admit that the look of the page is the brainchild of my website administrator….. she does a great job! I’m very thankful. You really ought to bring out your knit sticks again…. one year is quite a while!
Thanx for your feedback,
Kara
Kara,
I stayed at the Resort on the Mountain from July 19 to July 23 and enjoyed a couple of espressos and a chai tea latte at your shop! I am not a knitter, but all of the lovely yarn and dry goods certainly makes for a very cozy atmosphere! And the pastries are yummy, too.
I hope that business stays good!
